Marlins pitcher Josh Johnson told 790AM in Miami on Saturday that he will begin throwing off a mound next week.
"I'm feeling really good," Johnson said. "I'll throw two this next week and then three every week from there on in. Everything is going according to plan."
It will be the first time Johnson has thrown off a mound since he pitched live batting practice in late September. He last pitched in a game on May 16 then missed the rest of the season with shoulder discomfort.
Johnson made just nine starts last season, going 3-1 with a 1.6.
