As the 2016 Summer Olympics are set to begin in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Aug. 5, Team Penske driver Joey Logano is pumped for the games to start up.

"I love the Olympics," Logano said Friday at Pocono Raceway. "I love seeing the emotion of the athletes and I really don't care what sport it is."

Logano also has an appreciation for how much pressure the athletes face as they only get one chance to go for the gold every four years.

"I think I've learned over the years as an athlete to appreciate the amount of time and effort they put into it, and it's fun to watch athletes that don't get to compete as much as we do in the limelight," said Logano.

"We get to race the Daytona 500 every year. This is their championship and they only get a shot once every four years," he added. "I think understanding that pressure that they get put under to do that and be able to succeed and really perform under that type of pressure is very impressive to me because you mess up, you think about it for four years."

On the other hand, Matt Kenseth, driver of the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, doesn't expect he'll catch a ton of the action over the two-week span.

"I've got to be honest, I don't really pay much attention to it," Kenseth said candidly. "I probably will maybe a little bit more than maybe I have in the past, but I just really haven't watched it that much."

Logano also noted how watching the Olympics is a learning process for him.

"It's amazing to see how they prepare and watching their interviews and how they talk," Logano said. "I can learn a lot from that and that's something I really enjoy more than the actual event itself. I like trying to figure out how I can make myself better and learning in what way other athletes from different sports are able to do that and prepare themselves for the biggest event of their career."
