Jockey Mario Gutierrez offers classy thanks to Team Nyquist after Preakness loss

Jockey Mario Gutierrez had a rough Saturday, to say the least.
His ride aboard Preakness favorite Nyquist over a sloppy track was criticized.
The Kentucky Derby champ suffered his first career loss after nine wins.
Many pointed to Gutierrez getting caught up in allowing Nyquist to blazer through early fractions in the beginning of the race.
However, there is always another day and another race.
Gutierrez flew to California, where he rode Second Summer to victory in the Californian at Santa Anita.
Gutierrez also took to Twitter to thank the connections of Nyquist and his family for their support.

Meanwhile, Nyquist will ship to Belmont, where he is expected to face Preakness champ Exaggerator in what would be the rubber match of the Triple Crown series on June 11, the Belmont Stakes.
