Jimmie Johnson Foundation announces plans for 2016 Wellness Challenge

The Jimmie Johnson Foundation Wellness Challenge (presented by Penn Mutual) is back for 2016.
The JJF Wellness Challenge is a series of four athletic events, including a "virtual" triathlon that allows anyone living in the United States to participate by completing a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike run and 26.2-mile run on their own time:
- Jimmie Johnson Foundation 5K on Sunday, May 22 (Huntersville, North Carolina)
- Jimmie Johnson Foundation Cane Creek Sprint Triathlon on Tuesday, July 26 (Waxhaw, North Carolina)
- Jimmie Johnson Foundation Lake Davidson Sprint Triathlon on Sunday, Sept. 11 (Davidson, North Carolina)
- Jimmie Johnson Foundation Virtual Triathlon during the month of October 2016
"This marks the 10th anniversary of the Foundation and during that time, we have supported some great projects and non-profit organizations," said Johnson. "The JJF Wellness Challenge is one of the many ways we raise money for programs that support public education."
Since its inception, the JJF Wellness Challenge has raised more than $400,000 for K-12 public education.
