Jets' circus back in town: Geno makes Instagram vow; players react to broken jaw

One day after quarterback Cam Newton got into it with a Carolina Panthers teammate, New York Jets QB Geno Smith got his jaw broken by a backup linebacker.
Smith will be sidelined at least 6-10 weeks with a broken jaw after being punched by teammate Ikemefuna Enemkpali in the locker room Tuesday morning.
For what it’s worth, Smith vowed to be back.
And at least one current Jets teammate, new offseason acquisition and five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Brandon Marshall, expressed his sadness about it on Twitter.
Michael Vick, who was with the Jets last season and replaced Smith for part of the year, also wished his former teammate well (while probably wants to get his old job back as his backup, mind you).
Prayers up, wishin lil bro a speedy recovery @GenoSmith7 .."It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get up." -Vince Lombardi

Even a crosstown rival with the Giants feels bad given then events of the last two days.
