Jerry Jones says Cowboys DE Ware is ready to return

As Jerry Jones usually does during his weekly radio interviews, the Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager gave his latest injury update Tuesday morning.

While Jones wasn't optimistic about wide receiver Miles Austin and cornerback Morris Claiborne making a return to the field Sunday in New Orleans, he did have some positive news about Pro Bowl defensive end DeMarcus Ware, who has missed the last three games with a strained right quad.

"A lot of this soft tissue injury, these muscle pulls, there's a decision," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM]." It's sensitive but the player can still play, but there's risk that he could re-injure it. That's the key. It's when you have to make that ambiguous decision almost … but you have to make a tough decision as to when to really put the stress on the muscle or on the injury situation. I think he's ready."

Jones confirmed that running back DeMarco Murray, who returned last week from a sprained knee, is healthy but said Austin and Claiborne are "doubtful" with hamstring injuries.

"They did some good work yesterday," Jones said. "We'll see what they do today. I can't really say whether they'll be on the field against New Orleans or not."
