Jerry Jones has tough week with criticism
Admittedly, this past week was a tough one for Jerry Jones.
The Cowboys owner and general manager had to deal with the disappointment of his team dropping to 3-5 and the critics questioning the direction of a franchise that should be a playoff contender.
"It was just very disappointing," Jones said after Sunday's 38-23 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. "I don't need to tell you that there was a lot of things that were negative that were brought up and I understand I guess how those are brought up. It's good to see something work and get up here and have a win against these guys and it makes this past week feel a little better."
Specifically, Jones has recently dealt with questions about his role as the franchise's general manager, the future of Cowboys coach Jason Garrett and criticism from former Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson.
"I'm very aware of the criticism that we get and I get," Jones said. "And so all of that was not your best week from my standpoint. It does bother me."
