Jerry Jones expects 'wall-to-wall' Cowboys support at AT&T Stadium
No wonder the Cowboys are undefeated on the road this season. At AT&T Stadium, where they are 3-4 on the season, they get get no respect.
In the games against the 49ers, Saints, and Texans earlier this year, half of the Cowboys home venue was full of opposing fans. Only with an improved overall record and playoff expectations have things changed at AT&T Stadium.
What kind of expectation does Cowboys owner Jerry Jones have for Sunday's big game against the Indianapolis Colts?
"I think we'll be wall-to-wall with Cowboys fans, frankly, just like it was on Thanksgiving, which was, in my mind, maybe the finest crowd, other than our opening day against the Giants years ago," Jones told Dallas-area 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM] on Friday.
Cowboys support was noticeable, though the Eagles took the fans out of the game by halftime with a 23-7 lead en route to a 33-10 victory. Jones said he was disappointed that his team "laid that egg out there."
"I want reward these great fans that have been with us and should have the last game in the stadium for the Cowboys as far as regular season, should have a game of this quality. Now, this will be like war on our part."
The Cowboys have a .542 winning percentage in AT&T Stadium, including playoffs, ranking the 15th-lowest home team winning percentage in the league since 2009.
