Jenkins ready to play at any position in return

IRVING — Mike Jenkins was on the field for eight defensive snaps Sunday in Seattle. It was the 2012 debut for the Cowboys cornerback who missed the season opener, recovering from offseason shoulder surgery.
Jenkins also played on special teams, a role he's expected to continue having Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With starting safeties Barry Church and Gerald Sensabaugh nursing injuries, the Cowboys could be short at that position.
Could Jenkins fill in at safety?
Cowboys coach Jason Garrett didn't mention Jenkins' name when he gave the safety options before Wednesday's practice. But the 27-year-old sounded open to anything that will land him more playing time.
"I'm just a DB (defensive back) right now," Jenkins said. "I'm just a DB. Whatever it is, in all honesty. I played it all before."
Jenkins said he felt good against the Seahawks and that there are "no worries" regarding his shoulder.
"It felt good to get out there, get a little contact and test the shoulder out," he said. "It's good."
