The Jeff Gordon farewell tour heads to Phoenix International Raceway this weekend, and PIR is giving Gordon's fans a chance to leave their mark ... literally.
The black squares of the checkerboard start/finish line will contain the iconic No. 24, and fans who purchase a Pre-Race Pit Pass will be able to walk on the track and write a note to Gordon himself.
The track has also installed a billboard above the backstretch recognizing the four-time Sprint Cup champion.

In 32 career starts at PIR, Gordon has two wins ('07, '11), 12 top fives and 22 top 10s.
