BATH, England (AP) One of the stars of Japan's breakthrough Rugby World Cup campaign is heading to England to play his club rugby.

No. 8 Amanaki Mafi will join Bath from Japanese club NTT Shining Arcs in January for the rest of the season.

Mafi scored tries for Japan against Scotland and the United States in the Rugby World Cup, and played in the 34-32 win over South Africa that ranks as the greatest upset in the tournament's history.
