JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- With Blaine Gabbert sidelined because of a broken thumb, the Jacksonville Jaguars have added quarterback Ricky Stanzi.
The Jaguars were awarded Stanzi and linebacker Kyle Knox off waivers Tuesday. The team waived running back De'Leon Eskridge and tight end Isaiah Stanback to make room on the 75-man roster.
Stanzi was a fifth-round pick out of Iowa in 2011. He spent two seasons on Kansas City's active roster, but did not play in a regular-season game.
Knox spent the 2012 preseason with the Seahawks before he was waived during final cuts. He was on the practice squad for the final two weeks before signing a future contract in January.
The Jaguars also have Chad Henne, Mike Kafka and Matt Scott at quarterback.
