Jackson has not interviewed with Cowboys

Former Oakland Raiders head coach Hue Jackson says he has not interviewed with the Dallas Cowboys about a position on the team's coaching staff, but he would listen if they wanted to talk.

While chatting Wednesday on Fox Sports Radio's DayBreak show Jackson denied reports that he has met with Jerry Jones and Co.

"I have not talked to the Cowboys," Jackson said. "I am familiar with their system. I would love to hear from the Cowboys, but I have not at this point."

Jackson is currently on the Cincinnati Bengals' staff, working as a special teams assistant and secondary coach. Before becoming Raiders head coach in 2011, Jackson had been employed as an offensive coordinator with the Raiders (2010), Atlanta Falcons (2007) and Washington Redskins (2003). Jackson has also coached quarterbacks with the Baltimore Ravens and wide receivers with the Bengals.

The 47-year-old could be a candidate to call offensive plays if Bill Callahan doesn't take over the responsibility, but it seems more likely that Jackson's role with the Cowboys would be as an offensive position coach.
