By Sam Gardner, FOXSports.com When you’re the reigning defensive player of the year and one of the most destructive defensive linemen in football, you can’t let a little thing like a busted face get in your way. So it should come as no surprise that Texans defensive end J.J. Watt stayed on the field Sunday against Seattle despite sporting a grisly gash that left him looking like an American Horror Story villain. (OK, not quite, but close.) He looks even more terrifying with his helmet on. Can you imagine this guy looking you in the face from across the line?

Eventually, the Texans medical staff cleaned Watt up (sort of), and it’s still not clear exactly when or how his face got opened up, but the damage had already been done. (Top image via Deadspin)
