It was announced last week that the Houston Texans would be the team featured on this season of the HBO series "Hard Knocks."
And while the Texans still have some QB drama to figure out, the biggest draw of the show is reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt.
Watt has always been football first. He's even admitted the game is what keeps him single.
So how does the Pro-Bowler feel about having camera crews following him around?
Watt was a guest on The Dan Patrick Show Friday, and while Watt didn't seem angry about "Hard Knocks," he didn't exactly sound thrilled either.
"I don't think there's many players that would have voted for it. I prefer to focus on the football," Watt said when he was asked if he would have voted for show to come to Houston.
And as DP pointed out, there may be extra pressure on Watt to be the star of the show.
"I don't think I'm really going to do anything different than I normally do," he said. "I'm going to go out there and play the game."
"We got a glimpse of it last year when the Falcons came here with it," he continued. "But I don't think there's really going to be a whole that changes for me. When it comes training camp time, it's time to work. You go to work."
And he's definitely ready to return to work after his offseason, which he said, was spent between Wisconsin, California and Georgia.
"It's been good," when asked about the offseason. "I spent a lot of time back up in Wisconsin, did a few things in [Los Angeles], a little bit in Atlanta, but for the most part it really was spent up in Wisconsin. That's really where I feel most comfortable. That's obviously my home where all my family is. So it's great to be able to spend time up there with the trainer I've been training with for nine years now. So it's been a great offseason."
Hopefully for Texans fans (and really football fans in general) a great offseason translates to a great season for Watt.
