Tampa Bay Lightning star Steven Stamkos is known for his stick-handling. After all, he has led the NHL in goals twice in his six-year career (60 in 2011-12 and tied with Sidney Crosby with 51 in 2009-10).
But how would the nearly healthy Stamkos -- who is is second among active players with 233 goals since the start of the 2008-09 season -- fare if his shot was transported to another field of play?
The center found out when he took to a football field to see how his slapshot would translate as a field goal instrument. The regulation size for an NHL rink is 200 feet long, but take a look at how Stamkos is easily able to lift a shot significantly longer than that.
