What would the Brewers look like without Ryan Braun? They might find out in 2011 if a recent national report has any merit.
Peter Gammons, longtime baseball reporter for the Boston Globe and ESPN and now a contributor to the MLB Network and NESN, said this week that he's heard the Brewers might be shopping Braun, and if that's the case, the Red Sox would be one of the most likely suitors.
It's long been rumored -- even expected, in some circles -- that Prince Fielder will be dealt before the trade deadline next season, because as a client of uber-agent Scott Boras, Fielder will be difficult to sign to a long-term contract. But this is the first time Braun's name has been mentioned so prominently.
