Ireland, Wales draw 16-16 in Dublin in Six Nations opener

DUBLIN (AP) Ireland and Wales battled to a 16-16 draw Sunday in the Six Nations as both sides mounted disciplined defenses and pinpoint kicking.
Ireland raced to a 13-0 lead off two penalty conversions by Jonathan Sexton and a 27th-minute try by scrum half Conor Murray.
Momentum shifted when Keith Earls was called for illegally lifting Liam Williams. Out-half Rhys Priestland, on for injured Dan Biggar, converted that penalty into Wales' first three points in the 31st.
Taulupe Faletau's try shortly before the half and a second Priestland penalty conversion seven minutes after the restart knotted the score at 13-all, setting the stage for a tense finish.
Priestland's third converted penalty gave Wales a 16-13 lead before Sexton's 45-yard strike in reply left both sides equal at the end.
