Interviews for Rangers coaching vacancies have begun

The Texas Rangers have begun the interview process to fill their coaching vacancies.
Texas general manager Jon Daniels, who was in Surprise last week for organizational meetings, said the first priority would be finding a new bench coach and that the interviews have started.
The Rangers opted not to retain Jackie Moore in that position following the season. Once the bench coach is filled, the Rangers will fill the first-base spot that opened up with the departure of Dave Anderson.
Daniels said earlier this month that the club would look at internal candidates for the vacancies first, which could open the door for current Frisco manager Steve Buechele for Anderson vacancy.
Texas manager Ron Washington that he wants a bench coach who is in sync with him and someone who can help Washington navigate through a game. He wants someone with big league managerial experience and no one internally fits has that.
Once the coaching vacancies are filled the Rangers will shift their focus to shaping their roster for next season.
