ST. LOUIS — The Minesota Wild will start a set of back-to-back games against the Blues on Saturday without captain Mikko Koivu, who did not make the trip to St. Louis.

Coach Mike Yeo said Saturday morning that Koivu is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury.

Since returning Feb. 9 from a shoulder injury that held him out almost a month, Koivu has centered the top line with Devin Setoguchi and Dany Heatley. Koivu, who missed a chance to play in his first All-Star Game while recovering from his last injury, has one goal and three assists in the four games since his return.

Koivu’s comeback has helped ignite Setoguchi, who had been slumping but has four goals and two assists in the past four games. With Koivu out, Setoguchi will start Saturday afternoon’s game against the Blues on a line with Matt Cullen and Cal Clutterbuck. Heatley will be reunited with Kyle Brodziak and Nick Johnson.

Yeo said he might also experiment with Setoguchi playing with Heatley and Brodziak at some point.
