The Indians signed veteran RHP Boof Bonser to a minor-league deal on Sunday and assigned him to Triple-A Columbus.
Bonser, 31, was released by the San Francisco Giants this week after posting a 2-6 record and 5.87 ERA in 15 starts at Triple-A Fresno. He has appeared in 111 big-league games with three different teams, Minnesota, Boston and Oakland. His last Major League appearance was in 2010 with the A's.
The name Boof Bonser just sounds like it belongs to a baseball player. This had me thinking, what are the all-time greatest baseball player names in history?

There's Boog Powell, Chili Davis, CoCo Crisp, to name a few...
My personal favorite is Razor Shines. I can thank my dad for that one. I learned all about Razor Shines when my dad made it a point to get his autograph at a recent Lake County Captains game. He became a part of the Great Lakes Loons staff after he was replaced as the Mets first base coach by Mookie Wilson, another great baseball name.
Some of the more classic names are Yogi Berra, Early Winn and Goose Gossage... The list goes on and on.
What do you think is the greatest baseball player name of all-time? Sound off below.
