GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Jose Ramirez might be looking twice now before deciding where to park.

The Indians young shortstop, who has been known to be a little carefree on where he parks his car, found his white BMW lined up at short as the team went out for infield practice on a side field at the team's player development complex.

"I just saw his car parked a little far from the curve. It was a little awkward and there were a lot of spaces around," said Mike Aviles, who ended up driving the car onto the field. "We just figured we would park it somewhere a little more comfortable.

"You just park it anywhere, what is different than the field or parking spot? It was perfectly lined up at shortstop."

Aviles informed the coaches of the prank before practice, so everyone was in on it.

Manager Terry Francona, who has been the victim of a couple pranks during spring training, also was a fan of it.

"He's driving a BMW? Times are changing. My eighth year, I had a '71 VW bug that the heater was stuck on," he said.
