INDORE, India (AP) India elected to bat first in the third test against New Zealand in Indore, after Virat Kohli won the toss on Saturday for a third time running.

The hosts made two changes: Gautam Gambhir came in for his first international appearance since 2014, replacing Shikhar Dhawan, who was injured while batting in the second test, while Umesh Yadav replaced Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who is nursing a back strain.

New Zealand also made two changes: all-rounder Jimmy Neesham was included in place of Neil Wagner while captain Kane Williamson was fit again after sitting out the second test with illness. Henry Nicholls made way.

Indore is hosting its first test match and presented a dry pitch with lots of visible cracks and should take spin from the outset.
