Ilyasova suspended one game for punch

Milwaukee Bucks forward Ersan Ilyasova has been suspended one game by the league for punching Kings forward Reggie Evans during the fourth quarter of Wednesday's loss to Sacramento.
Ilyasova will serve his suspension Friday night when the Bucks take on the Pelicans in New Orleans. John Henson will likely start in his place at power forward.
With 5:50 left in the game, Ilyasova and Evans became tangled underneath the basket. Ilyasova then punched Evans in the kidney and proceeded to shove him to the ground. The punch went unnoticed by the officials, but Ilyasova was called for a loose ball foul on the shove.
Things continued to be chippy in the fourth quarter, as three technical fouls were assessed and Kings guard Isaiah Thomas was ejected less than two minutes after the incident between Ilyasova and Evans.
Ilyasova is averaging 10.9 points and 6.1 rebounds in 48 games and 40 starts this season, shooting just 40.0 percent from the field and 31.3 percent from beyond the arc. He struggled for much of the first two months of the season but has picked up his production of late.
The Turkish forward scored 31 points on 13-of-14 shooting in Monday's victory over Utah and is averaging 17.0 points per game in three March contests.
