Ilyasova second in Most Improved voting

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Magic forward Ryan Anderson has been chosen the NBA's Most Improved Player.
Bucks forward Ersan Ilyasova finished second and Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic finished third in the voting.
Anderson finished with 260 points, Ilyasova with 159 and Pekovic with 104. Anderson received 33 first place votes, while Ilyasova collected 21.
Anderson is in his fourth season. He started 61 of 66 games during the shortened regular-season and led the league in 3-pointers made (166) and attempted (422). He joins Rashard Lewis as the only other power forward to lead the league in 3-pointers made. He averaged career highs in points (16.1) and rebounds (7.7).
Anderson becomes the fifth Magic player to win the award since it was first handed out in 1986, joining Hedo Turkoglu (2008), Tracy McGrady (2001), Darrell Armstrong (1999) and Scott Skiles (1991).
In his fourth season with the Bucks, Ilyasova increased his scoring average from 9.5 points per game in 2010-11 to 13.0 in 2011-12, while also seeing his rebounding average jump from 6.1 per game to 8.8.
The Turkish forward was also deadly from beyond the arc, connecting on 45.5 percent of his attempts, good for second in the NBA.
