Iglesias leaves Friday's exhibition game with shin contusion

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Jose Iglesias smiled and said, "I'm fine" as reporters approached him in the clubhouse.
Iglesias was sitting on a bench near his locker with his right shin wrapped in ice, the result of a contusion he suffered when stealing second base in the fourth inning.
After the play, Iglesias appeared to hesitate as he got up.
"I'm really mad about the slide at second," Iglesias said. "I just slide late and I hit the base with my leg unfortunately. It was a little sore."
Iglesias has not yet played in back-to-back games so he would not have been in the lineup for Saturday's game at the Atlanta Braves.
"Tomorrow I'm going to be able to practice and do everything," Iglesias said. "I'm just bruised right there. Hopefully play Sunday at home."
Iglesias missed the entire 2014 season with bilateral tibial stress fractures so he's just rusty in his sliding.
"It's timing," Iglesias said. "That's everything. But I got a stolen base and I still scored a run for the team so that's what matters."
