House to make first career big league start for Indians

While the Cleveland Indians have rebounded from their most recent skid, the Baltimore Orioles continue to slide at home.
The Indians can win a season-high fifth straight game by handing the Orioles a sixth consecutive loss at Camden Yards on Friday night.
Cleveland (23-25) was outscored 34-8 during a four-game slide it's followed by totaling 30 runs to win three in a row over AL Central-leading Detroit and 8-7 in 13 innings over Baltimore on Thursday.
Carlos Santana had a two-run, two-out double in the 13th and Michael Bourn had three hits for the Indians, who also needed 13 innings to beat Detroit 11-10 on Wednesday.
The only other time since 1912 that Cleveland won successive games of at least 13 innings was in April 1935.
"(Wednesday) was thrilling but you put it in the rear view mirror as fast as you can," manager Terry Francona said. "As a result, we have a tired group - but you feel a heck of a lot better when you win."
Bourn is 8 for 17 with four runs scored in the last three games and batting .300 while hitting safely in eight straight on the road.
Teammate Michael Brantley is hitting .361 with 18 RBIs in his last 20 games and .333 with 10 RBIs in 13 career contests at Camden Yards.
The Orioles' five-game skid at home is their longest since they dropped seven in a row there last May. Adam Jones had three hits and Ryan Flaherty delivered a three-run homer for Baltimore (23-22), which has won only once in the last four games despite scoring 30 runs.
Jones is batting .343 while reaching base in 16 consecutive games and .368 in his last home eight contests.
Though Bud Norris (2-4, 3.58 ERA) is 0-2 in his last three starts for the Orioles, he's posted a 3.05 ERA while his teammates have backed him with three total runs during that span. He gave up a first-inning run, four hits and lasted 7 1-3 innings of a 1-0 loss at Kansas City on Saturday.
"I'm trying to put up zeroes. That's the ultimate goal," Norris said.
He almost did that in his only previous start against the Indians on Sept. 2, when he gave up a solo homer to Jason Kipnis and three other hits in seven innings of a 7-2 victory.
Though Brantley is 2 for 3 against Norris, Bourn is 0 for 6 with three strikeouts.
The Indians recalled T.J. House (0-0, 0.00) to make his first career start after Josh Tomlin earned the win Wednesday against the Tigers and Justin Masterson pitched on short rest Thursday. House, who pitched a scoreless inning of relief in his major league debut against Oakland on Saturday, was 1-2 with a 2.40 ERA in seven starts for Triple-A Columbus.
It's uncertain if Orioles third baseman Manny Machado will play after he left Thursday with right groin stiffness.
"Sleep on it and just keep working on it and hopefully we will know something better (Friday) of how I feel," said Machado, batting .229 with a home run and three RBIs in 20 games after missing the first month of the season while recovering from knee surgery.
