Hot-shooting Flyers get quick rematch

One thing Dayton coach Archie Miller doesn't expect to see in his team's rematch with George Washington in an Atlantic 10 tournament opener is the kind of 3-point shooting the Flyers put up in their regular-season finale.
The Flyers were 10-for-16 (62.5 percent) from 3-point range in beating George Washington 75-59 on March 3. For the season, Dayton shot just under 35 percent from behind the arc.
With the two teams to meet again just three days after that game, Miller also expects to see other changes.
"They created some problems for us, and we created some problems for them," he told the Dayton Daily News. "I don't anticipate we'll shoot the ball as well next game.
"I'm concerned with really preparing for their personnel and doing things better defensively."
The two teams were matched in the A-10 tourney when the Flyers shook out as the No. 6 seed after finishing in a tie with Saint Joseph's, La Salle and Massachusetts.
All four teams finished in a tie for fifth place in the final standings with 9-7 records.
Dayton is 19-11 overall heading into the postseason.
GWU, 5-11 in the conference and 10-20 in all games, earned the 11th seed in the tourney.
The winner of the first-round game will meet Xavier in the tourney quarterfinals in Atlantic City.
