Gomez, who won 13 Breeders’ Cup races in his career,  was discovered Wednesday at a casino hotel near Tucson, Arizona, the Daily Racing Form reported.

Gomez won more than 3,700 races. His most famous triumph was aboard Blame in the 2010 Breeders' Cup Classic. In that race, Blame handed the legendary Zenyatta her lone defeat.
