HomeAway pulls 'test baby' Super Bowl ad

Not every Super Bowl ad is a slam dunk, a lesson HomeAway is learning the hard way.

The vacation-home rental company's Super Bowl ad has come under fire after it contained a scene in which a baby doll was catapulted into a window.

On Tuesday, according to The Dallas Morning News, the company's chief executive, Brian Sharples, said HomeAway will remove any depictions of the ad on its website and will ensure the commercial won't air again on television.

The company also released a statement apologizing to those offended by the ad, highlighted by the following excerpt:

We do not believe the ad will result in an increase in violence towards babies, just as last year
