Holland's shoulder feels better

SURPRISE, Ariz. – Derek Holland's left shoulder has responded to treatment and the Texas starter will likely throw a bullpen later this week before making his Cactus League debut.
"It's fine," Holland said. "Trust me, it's fine."
Holland was slated to play catch Monday. Holland was scratched from his outing in Sunday's intrasquad game because of the shoulder.
Shortstop Elvis Andrus also has some soreness in his left knee. He was examined by Dr. Keith Meister and got treatment on the knee.
"He felt it a little the day before (Saturday) and we backed off some of his weight work," general manager Jon Daniels said. "He came out in the field early yesterday and he still felt it so we gave him the rest of the day off. He got treatment instead."
Left-hander Michael Kirkman, who has been limited all camp, still hasn't thrown on a mound. He played catch on flat ground Sunday and he was slated to throw again Monday. If there are no issues his next step would be a bullpen.
Daniels said Kirkman (sore left shoulder) still isn't 100 percent.
