On Wednesday night, Indians center fielder Michael Bourn made a simple request - for the fans to show up and support them in their playoff chase.
Bourn was very cordial in his comments. he didn't insult anybody who wasn't attending the games, he offered valid reasons for fans to be elsewhere, and he asked fans to show up as politely as could be expected.
The response from fans has covered the spectrum from hostile to supportive. But one out-of-towner struck a chord with us. We present to you.....IndianFanInCO
After 20 years in OH before landing a job in CO, I was.. and still am.. a huge Tribe fan out west. I'd love to be at a game but can't. I agree with the players... spend a little and support the boys! Ohio doesn't have a whole lot to brag about nationally, and if the Tribe can pull some magic, it'll bring some more credibility to a GREAT state!
