Tight end Marcedes Lewis practiced on Wednesday for the first time in three weeks since re-injuring his calf, the Florida Times-Union reported.
Lewis took a limited number of reps in practice Wednesday, but Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said he expects Lewis to be able to increase that number on Thursday.
Now in his eighth season with the Jaguars, Lewis did not play in the first three regular-season games as Jacksonville went 0-3. His return would be a boost for a team that managed just 28 points in games against Kansas City, Oakland and Seattle.
Lewis had 52 receptions for 540 yards and four touchdowns in 2012.
