It's a comeback week for football in Florida.

In fact, Florida State's most recent comeback for its 24th consecutive win might have saved its season.

Thursday night's game against Louisville found the Seminoles in a 21-0 hole in the first half. But in typical Florida State fashion, the losing didn't last long.

The Seminoles and quarterback Jameis Winston stumbled (literally, on one good ankle) and bumbled their way to a 42-31 victory over the Cardinals at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.

Florida State began its comeback just before the half, when the reigning Heisman Trophy winner led the team 78 yards on a drive that culminated in a Nick O'Leary touchdown when Karlos Williams fumbled in the end zone.

Winston then took charge in the second half throwing for three touchdowns to lead the rally.

The undefeated team arrived in Kentucky earlier in the week, giving them some time to find a makeshift practice field.

In case you missed it, the Seminoles took their game preparation to the Waterfront Park in Louisville, but they had to pass a certain attraction to get to the field.

The Voice-Tribune's photographer Chris Humphreys tweeted updates of the team's whereabouts throughout practice. But to his credit, the Seminoles didn't quite make the pit stop we were all hoping for.

In Florida State's defense, it's clear that the team has worked to overcome adversity, even in the eyes of the media. They take the field again Nov. 8 to host the Virginia Cavaliers.

Looking to make another kind of comeback are the Florida Gators, who travel to Jacksonville to take on the Georgia Bulldogs at Everbank Field.

After two consecutive losses, the Gators are putting their hopes in freshman quarterback Treon Harris.

Head coach Will Muschamp gave Harris a chance to turn the game around Oct. 4, when the Gators were trailing Tennessee in the third quarter. His pair of scoring drives in the fourth did just that, leading the team to a 10-9 victory over the Volunteers, their lone win in their past four games.

-- Steven Stamkos showed off Thursday night, scoring a pair of big goals and an assist on the Tampa Bay Lightning's 4-3 victory against the Philadelphia Flyers.

-- The Tampa Bay Rays announced bench coach Dave Martinez, pitching coach Jim Hickey and hitting coach Derek Shelton will all be returning to the team for the 2015 season. The replacement for former manager Joe Maddon is still undecided.

VIDEO OF THE WEEK

On Wednesday, the Florida Panthers visited the Chris Evert Children's Hospital in Fort Lauderdale where they had the opportunity to take their passion off the ice.

We discovered that rookie defenseman and No. 1 overall pick Aaron Ekblad has been hiding some other, er, talents (generously speaking).

Check out this video of the team hanging out with some of South Florida's coolest kids, and see one of them triumph over Ekblad in a "Call Me Maybe" showdown at 1:26.
