Josh Hamilton's sore left hamstring cost him another start Wednesday as Hamilton missed his second-consecutive game because of it.

Hamilton, who said his hamstring felt the same Wednesday as it did Tuesday, got an MRI. Hamilton said he felt it grab Sunday during his game-winning walkoff double.  He came off the bench in the ninth inning of that game and didn't have the hamstring wrapped, which is something he normally does.

"It's the same," he said. "It's irritating, a little frustrating, but I mean I can't do anything besides treat it, see where it goes day to day."

Hamilton wasn't the only Rangers' regular out of the lineup against Chicago White Sox lefty Chris Sale. Despite his best lobbying efforts, Prince Fielder missed his first start of the season.

Fielder joked in spring training that he was going to let the Rangers sit him for one day this year. He said Wednesday that this must have been the day.

Fielder had made 52-straight starts.
