YONKERS, N.Y. (AP) Hambletonian winner Marion Marauder won the $500,000 Yonkers Trot at Yonkers Raceway on Saturday night.
Driven by Scott Zeron, Marion Marauder beat Smalltownthrowdown by a head, finishing in 1:56.1 and returning $2.40 for the win.
''It turned in to an eighth-of-a-mile sprint and he put on a good show,'' Zeron said. ''He's been racing hard and to come back like he has after the Hambo, hats off to him and to stick his nose out for the win tonight, it was great.''
Lagerfeld was third.
