Gronk needs a fourth surgery on broken forearm

Rob Gronkowski's offseason is turning into a greek tragedy. The Patriots tight end, who has already had three surgeries on his broken forearm, could need a fourth, according to a source speaking to the Boston Herald. Gronkowski has just completed a six-week course of antibiotic treatment to battle an infection that developed after his third surgery. If the infection clears, Gronk can have his the plate in his forearm replaced and he can begin down the road to recovery. This is where it gets grim. Is it possible that Gronk will need a fifth surgery? Hopefully, he won't, but the thought is not completely off the table. That's just sad. Remember just a little over a year ago, when we laughed at a happy Rob dancing his sorrows away?
That's a sharp contrast to earlier this year, when he made the unwise move to dance with his broken forearm still in a cast. Actually, it's not the dancing, it's the wrestling moves and falling on his arm that made us cringe.
For now, Gronk is taking part in the Patriots' offseason program. We wish him the best for a speedy recovery. We want to see him crushing fools on the field.
