Green, Jones ready to face Steelers

PITTSBURGH -- The wave of sickness that swept through the Bengals locker room this week will cost them cornerback Terence Newman for Sunday night's game at Pittsburgh but every other key player who was on Friday's injury report is suiting up for the AFC North title matchup.
That includes wide receiver A.J. Green, who suffered a bruised right biceps in last Monday night's win against Denver, cornerback and return specialist Adam Jones and starting SAM linebacker Emmanuel Lamur. Green had 224 yards and one touchdown on 11 receptions three weeks ago against Pittsburgh. The Steelers will be without veteran secondary members Ike Taylor and Troy Polamalu because of injury.
Eight Bengals missed practice at least once this week due to illness but Newman is the only one of the eight not active for Sunday's game. Newman missed all three days and will be replaced in the starting lineup by Dre Kirkpatrick, who was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week this week after picking off Broncos' quarterback Peyton Manning twice in the fourth quarter on Monday.
Quarterback Andy Dalton, tight end Jermaine Gresham, left guard Clint Boling, kicker Mike Nugent, safety Reggie Nelson, backup cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris and Jones all missed at least one practice this week.
Lamur hurt his hamstring at Cleveland two weeks ago and did not play against the Broncos. He is tied with Nelson for second on the team with 88 tackles and has the most pass breakups of any non-secondary member with seven.
Green leads the Bengals with 61 receptions, 959 yards and six touchdowns. He was injured in the first quarter against Denver and limited the rest of the game but he did remain in the game. He was targeted just four times and did not catch a pass, the first time he has played a full game and not had a reception.
