METAIRIE, La. (AP) -- Jimmy Graham says he knows he's expected to build on the success he had as a receiving threat for the Saints late last season.

The second-year pro and former college basketball player says he also needs to become a complete tight end.

Graham says he suspects teams could predict the Saints were going to pass when he was on the field last season. He says he has since bulked up and worked on his blocking.

Graham had 31 catches for 356 yards and five touchdowns last season.

The promise he showed gave the Saints confidence that they could feature him this season and part ways with former starting tight end Jeremy Shockey.

Quarterback Drew Brees says Graham has talent and has shown the desire to work hard and learn.
