MINNEAPOLIS - Sophomore forward Christian Isackson registered a hat trick Saturday, pacing the Minnesota men's hockey squad's 7-0 exhibition win against Lethbridge.
Isackson started the night's scoring with a power-play goal near the 6-minute mark, and the rout was on for the Gophers.
By night's end, several Gophers had eye-opening stat-lines, with Mike Reilly, Ben Marshall, Erik Haula and Travis Boyd all dishing out two assists each. Minnesota netminder Michael Shibrowski got the win between the pipes, recording nine saves.
Another stat that jumped off the score sheet: host Minnesota rang up 65 total shots on goal, in front of an announced crowd of 7,823 at Mariucci Arena.
