MINNEAPOLIS — The University of Minnesota football team announced two start times Thursday for the upcoming 2012 season.

The Gophers will kick off at Iowa on Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. CT, while Minnesota's Homecoming game against Northwestern on Oct. 13 will also be an 11 a.m. start. Television broadcast information has not yet been set for either game.

Minnesota now has start times set for the 2012 season, as its game time for the Sept. 22 game against Syracuse was announced earlier this year. The Gophers will kick off with the Orange under the lights of TCF Bank Stadium at 7 p.m. CT. That game will be broadcast on Big Ten Network.

The Gophers, coming off their second consecutive 3-9 season, open the 2012 schedule on the road against UNLV on Thursday, Aug. 30. The start time for the season opener has yet to be announced.
