Golden Tate's taunting celebration couldn't be more ridiculous

By Ross Jones, FOXSports.com Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate capped a 80-yard touchdown reception by waving goodbye to Rams safety Rodney McLeod Jr. Tate, who made an impressive grab over second-year cornerback Janoris Jenkins, almost ran out of bounds while taunting. The score counted, but the Seahawks were flagged 15 yards on the ensuing kickoff. Jenkins is known as one of the league’s most infuriating trash-talk artists after he was put on blast last week by veteran wide receiver Steve Smith. Head coach Pete Carroll used the boneheaded mistake as a teaching opportunity by calmly sitting next to Tate and letting him know that type of stuff is unacceptable. NFL on FOX insider Jay Glazer certainly isn’t an advocate of Tate’s behavior, either:

Great catch by Tate, but very questionable judgment. He’ll likely be getting a letter in the mail from the league this week. Questions? Comments? Send them to lacesoutmail@gmail.com and we might respond in our weekly mailbag!
