Sophomore quarterback Garrett Gilbert was on the brink of getting pulled after throwing five interceptions against Kansas State on Saturday, but a quick defensive stop earned Texas the ball back before true freshman backup Case McCoy could get loose.
Texas coaches met with both quarterbacks after the game to discuss the situation, and Gilbert is still the Longhorns' No. 1 QB. That could change if his turnover issues
