Get ready for Opening Day with 13 1/2 hours of Rays coverage on FOX Sports Sun

TAMPA, Fla. (March 26, 2018) -- As Tampa Bay prepares for the much-anticipated return of Rays baseball, FOX Sports Sun, the statewide television home of the Rays, is excited to announce its extended coverage of Rays Opening Day on Thursday, March 29. Starting at 8:30 a.m., fans can tune in on FOX Sports Sun and FOX Sports GO for a full morning-to-evening schedule of Rays baseball programming.



FOX Sports Sun's live coverage of Opening Day will start promptly at 3 p.m. with a special, one-hour pregame show from Tropicana Field. A broadcast team of six will provide extensive analysis throughout the day as Rays broadcasters Dewayne Staats, Brian Anderson, Michelle Margaux, Orestes Destrade, Doug Waechter and Rich Hollenberg get set to open up the season on FOX Sports Sun. Rays Owner Stuart Sternberg, Senior Vice President of Baseball Operations & General Manager Erik Neander and Manager Kevin Cash are scheduled to join the broadcast throughout the day.

Thursday's schedule:


8:30 a.m.: “Tampa Bay Rays Season Preview Show”

9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.: “Baseball from the Beginning Tampa Bay” marathon

2:30 p.m.: “Tampa Bay Rays Season Preview Show”

3 p.m.: Rays Live Pregame Show

4 p.m.: Opening Day: Tampa Bay Rays vs. Boston Red Sox

7 p.m.: Rays Live Postgame Show

11:30 p.m.: “Tampa Bay Rays Season Preview Show”

12 a.m.: “After Midnight with Rays” game replay
