Nike is changing Georgia's football uniforms — but relax, Bulldogs fans, you'll barely notice a difference.

As part of the partnership, Georgia said in a release that is has "introduced a department-wide brand identity system designed to better define and distinguish what is already a nationally prominent collegiate brand."

The Silver Britches are still there, as is the "G" logo but the biggest changes are in the uniform's font, which the release says "fuses modern foundational forms with universal functionality." Basically, it's a bit more stylized than its predecessor, though it looks pretty much the same on the road whites.

Nike did reveal a new secondary logo, which features a cartoonish Uga that Georgia/Nike says "is strong, iconic and ferocious, accurately reflecting characteristics of the animal itself as well as the spirit of Georgia athletics."

The Bulldogs football, men's and women's basketball teams and track and field all had their uniforms altered and will be used beginning in the 2013-14 seasons.

"This program will being a more consistent look to our logos, uniforms, field markings and other areas where our marks are displayed," said Georgia director of athletics Greg McGarity.

They are subtle alterations, especially when you consider Nike's Pro Combat Uniform history, and it's not the Oregon-ification of Georgia's unis, but here's betting some purists will have something to say about tweaking the Bulldogs' threads.
