Fusaichi Red scores easy win in $70,000 Miss Woodford Stakes

OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) Fusaichi Red took the lead in the stretch and drew off to an easy win in the $70,000 Miss Woodford Stakes at Monmouth Park on Sunday, beating Coco's Wildcat by 3 3/4 lengths.
Trained by George Weaver and ridden by Orlando Bocachica, the 3-year-old filly ran six furlongs over a fast track in 1:10 1/5 and paid $12.20, $6.20 and $3.80. It was the second career win for Fusaichi Red, who has finished in the money in all six of her starts.
Coco's Wildcat returned $7.20 and $4.40. Spark was two lengths back in third and paid $3.40.
