Friday night Giants-Cardinals game postponed

ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Cardinals announced that their game with the San Francisco Giants this evening has been postponed due to multiple forecasts of approaching extreme weather and at the recommendation of public safety officials.

The two teams will make up the game tomorrow, June 1, as part of a day/night split doubleheader with tonight’s make-up game starting at 12:15 p.m. CDT, followed by the regularly-scheduled game at 6:15 p.m. CDT.

Fans holding tickets for tonight’s game should use those same tickets for admittance to tomorrow afternoon’s 12:15 p.m. make-up game.  

Busch Stadium gates will open at 11 a.m. for tomorrow afternoon’s make-up game and they will open at the regularly scheduled time of 4:15 p.m. for tomorrow’s second game.

Tonight’s game is the seventh regular-season game to be postponed at Busch Stadium III and the first since April 19, 2011. 

Programming Update

FOX Sports Midwest will televise Game 1 of tomorrow's Giants-Cardinals doubleheader. Coverage will start at 12 p.m. CT.

Game 2 will air on MLB on FOX (KTVI in St. Louis) as scheduled.
