The Coyotes signed free-agent right wing Chris Conner to a one-year, two-way contract on Monday. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 5-foot-8, 180-pound Conner played in eight games last season for the Red Wings, totaling a goal and two assists. The 28-year-old had 16 goals and 37 assists last season with Detroit's AHL affiliate in Grand Rapids.
The native of Westland, Mich., has tallied 17 goals and 26 assists in 147 career NHL games with Detroit, Pittsburgh and Dallas.
Conner originally entered the league when he signed with the Dallas Stars as an undrafted free agent on July 13, 2006.
