FOX survivor football picks for Week 12

FOX survivor football picks for Week 12

Survive and advance is a popular sports mantra normally saved for the month of March and the madness that comes with it.

But thanks to the rapid growth of the NFL and fantasy football, games like FOX Fantasy Survivor can feed your craving for “win or go home” competition seven months early.

Thousands of football fans signed up and participated in the FOX Fantasy Survivor game last season. The hope is, with cash prizes on the line, we can eclipse that mark in 2011.

The premise is simple: pick one (1) team who you believe is going to win that week. The survivor catch remains that once you pick a team to win, you can’t pick that team again for the rest of the season.  The good news is, even if you lose, you are still eligible to win cash prizes.

To assist you with your survivor selections, the FOXSports.com’s fantasy football staff will provide you their picks for the week.

Just remember the mantra: survive and advance. In a couple months, you could be $2,000 richer.

Week 11 Recap

The Patriots, Packers, Ravens and 49ers all won and the fantasy department is thankful for that.

On to Week 12’s picks …

Week 12 Picks

Harmon – Bengals

The Swollen Dome is thankful for the Browns' poor rush defense and Cedric Benson’s ability to exploit it like he did in Week 1.

Beall – Panthers

He’s thankful for Curtis Painter and his inability to win a game as the Colts’ triggerman. It doesn’t hurt that the Colts’ defense is a sieve that Cam Newton and his running backs can attack.

Halpin – Falcons

John is thankful for the absence of Adrian Peterson and a rookie quarterback at the helm for the Vikings. Matt Ryan has passed for over 300 yards in his last two games and thrown six touchdowns and only two interceptions his past three times out.

Fowler - Jets

The Buffalo Bills are in the midst of a tailspin and learned Wednesday they will be without their top offensive weapon, Fred Jackson, due to a calf injury. Rex Ryan and the Jets are desperate for a win and match up well against a beaten and battered Bills’ roster. Now let’s go out there and get a gosh-darn turkey sandwich.
