FOX Sports San Diego to televise WCK Muaythai event live Saturday night
San Diego - FOX Sports San Diego (FSSD) today announced plans to televise the WCK Full Rules Muaythai "Matter of Pride" event live from Pechanga Resort and Casino on Saturday, February 15. The event will air at 7:00 PM PST immediately following FOX Sports San Diego's live coverage of University of San Diego vs. New Mexico baseball.
WCK Full Rules Muaythai celebrates their 25th year of broadcasting with "Matter of Pride", their first event of 2014. The event showcases an impressive fightcard featuring headliner and WBC Muaythai World Champion Jemyma Betrian fighting Brazil's Thais Souza in front of a sold out crowd at Pechanga Resort and Casino.
Local standouts include Marvin Madariaga, John Vargas, and Francisco Garcia, fighting alongside Bellator MMA Women's World Champion Zoila Frausto as she makes her professional Muaythai debut. WCK announcer's Phil Stone & Blinky Rodriguez will call the action starting at 7:00 PM PST on FOX Sports San Diego.
This marks the first Muaythai event broadcasted live on any of FOX Sports' platforms since the network initially partnered with WCK Full Rules Muaythai in 2012. WCK Full Rules Muaythai "Matter of Pride" is presented by Dennis Warner, In Sync Productions, Inc. and Pechanga Resort and Casino.
